The suspect, Christopher John Dugent Jr., 20, of Flagler Beach, is currently in custody in the Flagler County Inmate Facility on Burglary and Grand Theft charges stemming from the August 9, 2015 Burglary.
“I’m extremely proud of the effort put in by everyone involved in this case ’” said Flagler Beach Police Captain Matt Doughney. “The suspect committed the Burglary early Sunday morning and by late Monday night he’s been located, interviewed and arrested for his crime by our Officers. I think that’s great Police work”.
“The suspect in this case hid inside the business and waited until well after the store closed to rummage through the business” Doughney said.
Dugent Jr. is being held at the Flagler Inmate Facility on $5,000 bond. Doughney said that “The video surveillance inside the business was extremely helpful in our ability to solve this case. Kudos to the business for investing in a quality system”.
