Public Service Announcement
From: Larry Newsom, City Manager
Subject: City library Open – Limited Hours
Date: December 19, 2016
Effective Monday, December 19, 2016 at 10:00 a.m., our City’s Library, which had been closed after receiving damage during Hurricane Matthew, has re-opened on a limited basis.
The City Library will be open as follows;
- The Library will be open Monday through Friday, from 10:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m.
- Access will only be granted to those with City of Flagler Beach Library Cards.
- Access within the boundaries of the Library will be limited; as on-going repairs continue to be made.
“The goal was to get our Library up and running on a limited basis as quickly as possible after Hurricane Matthew and we’ve done that” said Larry Newsom, City Manager. Newsom continued by stating “once we get the remainder of the repairs completed, the Library will be open to cardholders, residents and those out of town visitors that frequent our Library”.
We’d like to sincerely thank our Library Card holders for their patience while repairs were being made to our wonderful Library. We hope to have the Library fully operating under normal hours and conditions within the next few months. Once the Library is fully opened, a Media Release will be issued.
