Leaving town for the weekend or an extended trip? The Flagler Beach Police Department offers a free House Watch program for residents who will be away from their homes for a few days up to 90 days.

When you submit a House Watch request, our officers will check on your property as calls for service permit, giving you peace of mind while you're away.

How It Works:
1. Complete the House Watch Request Form below
2. Provide your travel dates, address, emergency contact information, and any special instructions
3. Our officers will conduct periodic checks of your property during your absence
4. If anything unusual is observed, we will contact your designated emergency contact

When you submit a House Watch request, our officers will check on your property as calls for service permit, giving you peace of mind while you're away.


How It Works:

  3. Our officers will conduct periodic checks of your property during your absence
  4. If anything unusual is observed, we will contact your designated emergency contact


Completing this form does not guarantee your property will be placed under a permanent type surveillance. The Flagler Beach Police Department will check your property as calls for service permit.


There is a ninety two week day limit for the house watch program.


When you return, please call the Police Department at 386-517-2023 so we can cancel your House Watch.

Top 10 Home Safety Tips Before You Travel


  1. Lock and secure all doors and windows (including garage, sliders, and sheds).
  2. Set lights on timers to create the appearance of occupancy.
  3. Stop or hold mail and newspaper delivery (or arrange daily pickup).
