About the Flagler Beach Police Department


The Flagler Beach Police Department serves the City of Flagler Beach, a close-knit coastal community along Florida's Atlantic coast. Our officers are dedicated to maintaining public safety, building community trust, and preserving the quality of life that makes Flagler Beach a special place to live and visit.


FBPD Leadership


Chief Lance Blanchette leads the Flagler Beach Police Department, overseeing department operations, personnel, and community engagement initiatives.


A Flagler County resident, he began his law enforcement career with the Daytona Beach Police Department in 1994, rising through the ranks to captain in 2012 before retiring in 2018.


Prior to law enforcement, he served in the U.S. Coast Guard, and remains committed to transparent, community-oriented policing that reflects the values of Flagler Beach.
